Correct. The BIS device has an optimal range between an index value of 40 and 60. with an suppression ratio of 0. In this case the BIS index of 40, withot any suppression suggest an adequate level of anaesthesia. The raw EEG displays pronounced alpha and delta oscillations, which correlates with optimal propofol based anaesthesia. The cardiovascular indicies are also satisfactory. At this moment, just prior to incision (and an increased nociceptive stimulus), there is no need to adjust the propofol and remifentanil targets.
